Abstract

Kinetic phenomena in conductors with a charge density wave (CDW) are investigated by means of equations for the Green functions. We find the response of a Peierls conductor (PC) to applied electric field and analyse different nonlocal effects, such as the appearance of voltage in a region, where total current is absent, the influence of the CDW deformation on the pinning threshold field, the generation of domain walls (phase solitons) by the current etc. The CDW motion and its contribution to the conductivity of the PC is studied in the case, when a lattice of amplitude solitons is present in the PC. The system of two weakly coupled PC is considered.
