Abstract
The oxygen distribution in anodic oxides on grown from electrolytes prepared with and has been analyzed with an ion microprobe mass analyzer. The data show that as the oxide grows, additional oxygen is incorporated into the film at the oxide‐electrolyte interface. The implications to the mechanism of oxide growth are discussed.
