Abstract

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation has developed the automated lining technology that utilizes quick-setting resin mortar, which meets construction demands for long and winding small-diameter tunnel. Through experiments, quick-setting and low-shrinkage have been attained in resin mortar development, and mortar-supply equipment, mixing form of resin mortar and hardener and sliding-former have been examined, which were good to be automated. Using this technology, a 100mm thick circular tunnel lining are constructed with an inner diameter of 1200mm. Tunnels that were cast in-place have good mechanical characteristics, and this suggest that mechanical design is appropriate.
