B. Abstract The light curves of the three systems are discussed. Arguments are presented against a three-body model for Cyg X-1. A significant heating effect is found to be present in SMC X-1. Differences between mass determinations of SMC X-1 are discussed. Masses of the components of Cen X-3 are found to be 17 Mo and 0.67 Mo.
