Abstract

Morphological descriptions of larvae and pupae of flat-footed flies of the genera Polyporivora Kessel et Magg. (P. boletina Meig., P. ornata (Meig.) (= infumata Hal.), P. hunteri amurensis Shatalkin), Seri Kessel et Kessel (S. obscuripennis Oldenberg), and Bolopus Meig. (B. furcatus (Fallen)) are given. A key to Polyporivora species based on larvae is provided. The main diagnostic characters, such as the length of the anterior spiracles and number of breathing openings on the stigmal plate, shape of terminal hooks, morphology, and topography of cuticular structures were revealed.
