Abstract

We consider kinematic dependences of creep feed grinding. We give an analytical model of this process and formulas that relate the area of a nominal section removed during one turn of the grinding disk and the arc length of the contact during grinding stages. Using the obtained relations, we perform a kinematic analysis of the process and derive functional dependences of the nominal section area and thickness, the run, and the cutting ability on the contact arc length and time for different grinding stages and modes. These functional dependences are polynomials of the first to third degrees.
