Abstract

The paper is devoted to the mathematical modeling of the roll contact curves in two-roll modules. A generalized two-roll module is considered, in which the rolls are located relative to the vertical line with a tilt to the right, have different diameters and elastic coatings of different stiffness, the material layer is fed downward. The results of the analysis of strain properties effect of the rolls elastic coatings and the processed material on the shapes of the roll contact curves are given. The models of roll contact curves in a generalized two-roll module are found for the cases where the strain of contacting bodies is given by empirical formulas and by rheological models.
