Abstract

This paper studies the features of poetic texts of the famous Russian poet of the XX century B. Slutsky. The author attempts to identify the typological features of the ode genre in the poet’s lyrics. It is noted that this type of works is undergoing a certain transformation in the Russian literary tradition. In the XVIII century, the ode was the leading genre in Russian literature, but already at the end of the XVIII — early XIX centuries, a crisis of the ode type of works occurs, the genre is transformed. In the XX century, the ode ceases to exist in its canonical form, but we can say that certain odic features and motifs are embodied in the texts of poets of the last century. B. Slutsky’s lyrics quite vividly illustrate the process of destruction of the odic canon.
