Abstract

The article examines approaches to state sovereignty as a category of state theory, its individual aspects in the context of digitalization and globalization, explores the problem of state desuverenization, analyzes the ideas of partial renunciation of state sovereignty proposed in the scientific literature, as well as the emergence of such an element of sovereignty as responsibility to protect within states and beyond, contained in international law. In the context of considering the sovereignty of the state as a whole, economic sovereignty as its component is examined. The article examines the elements of the economic sovereignty of the state, the impact of digital technologies on it, analyzes the risks of its erosion under the influence of digitalization, examines and criticizes the concept of «digital sovereignty». The issue of ensuring the sovereignty of the state in general and economic sovereignty in particular is of particular importance in the context of the development of a multipolar world, the formation of new economic unions of states, and the strengthening of the positions of currencies of different states.
