Abstract
The plasmon cut off wave vector k c has been calculated from the Bohm-Pines plasmon dispersion relation corrected for the effects of exchange and correlation. A new value of k c has been obtained which is smaller than that calculated without corrections. Thus the existing disagreement between theory and experiments regarding the appearance of plasmons for k>k c cannot be explained as due to the effect of exchange, as it is referred by K.S.
