Abstract

This paper deals with the incorporation of frequency dependent dielectric losses in a one-dimensional finite difference time domain formulation for the analysis of differential pair transmission lines. This task is accomplished by means of the recursive convolution of the transient capacitance matrix and the line voltages. The effects of dielectrics with different frequency dependent dielectric constant and loss tangent are studied in differential microstrip and stripline configurations.
