Abstract

Inoculating baby mice's brain with Japanese Encephalitis virus, the author studied the image of their blood and bone marrow and obtained the following results. 1. In the image of peripheral blood, leucocytes increased in large numbers and they moved towards the left of nuclei, lymphocytes decreased in number, eosinophil cells decreased or vanished away, and plasma cells and reticuloendothelial cells increased. 2. In the image of bone marrow, nucleated cells in bone marrow, neutrophil cells and erythroblasts cells increased abundantly in the incubation period as well as at the beginning of the attack of the disease and decreased after the middle period of the disease. 3. These results are much the same to those of Japanese Encephalitis patients.
