Abstract

For the first time, the article attempts to review the process of preparing and holding the White Flower charity event in Perm and Perm province in 1911—1912. The massive charity event was of an all-Russian nature, was carried out with the support of the family of Emperor Nicholas II and local authorities. The action was aimed at mobilizing the forces and resources of society to fight the tuberculosis epidemic. The article uses previously unpublished sources, reconstructs the events of the action in the cities of the Perm province, examines the regional specifics of the charitable action, and clarifies the role of local authorities for organization the White Flower charity event.
