Abstract

For the example of the Kristensen-Moller theory expressions are given for energy, momentum and charge which are constant in the course of time as a consequence of the field equations. For the case that the fields are classical and that the manifold of solutions is the same as for free fields (normal class), canonical field variables fulfilling the Hamiltonian formalism are proved to exist. In the first order approximation of the perturbation theory the canonical field variables are actually constructed also for quantized fields.
