Abstract

The death penalty and crime are not necessarily related in different countries, but those sentenced to death must commit crimes, while those who commit crimes are not necessarily sentenced to death. In recent years, many countries have abolished the death penalty system, the global abolition of death penalty accounts for 79%. It seems that the aim of penalty is to change from punishing criminals to educating them to return to normal society. From the perspective of economic principle and economic efficiency, if the cost of abolishing death penalty is greater than the benefit, then the abolition of death penalty is not sustainable.
