Abstract
Abstract The electrolytic rectification effect has been observed in a double-membrane system. The static and dynamic current-voltage characteristics have been measured, and it has been demonstrated that the mechanism of the rectification similar to that of the p-n semiconductor junction holds true for this system. Reasonable values have been estimated for the characteristic parameters, although there are many discrepancies requiring further examination.
