Abstract

The magnetic loss P, the peak value of the magnetic field strength Ĥ and the coercivity H c were measured using a single strip yoke on non-oriented, grain oriented, and HiB material strips, and applying different methods for the determination of H. The comparisons of the results are discussed with regard to the influence on the effective magnetic path length and in consideration of former interpretations of Epstein-yoke comparisons.
