Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the effects of the interior multilayered medium on a cylindrical coplanar waveguide (CPW). A rigorous full-wave analysis is applied to formulate a magnetic-field integral equation, which is subsequently solved numerically using the method of moments. Two spectral domain Green's functions that relate the magnetic fields to the magnetic currents just inside and outside the complete conducting cylinder are derived. Entire-domain basis functions for the surface magnetic currents are employed in the numerical computation. Results for the dispersion characteristics of some sample structures are presented and, wherever possible, are compared with data available in the literature.
