Abstract
New insights into the impact of scattering-induced inter-symbol interference (ISI) and oceanic turbulence on channel capacity and mutual information of underwater optical wireless links are analyzed when a binary input constraint is imposed on the channel input and non-uniform on-off keying (OOK) modulation is considered.
