Abstract

In this article we analyze the distribution in the complex plane of the roots of the characteristic functions for first and second order linear delay differential equations. We prove necessary and sufficient conditions which are satisfied with respect to the variation of the coefficients in order the characteristic roots have negative real parts. Key words : Delay differential equations advanced type; Characteristic root
