Abstract

Let L( C n, C m) be the space from C n to C m. Let ℓ( k, n, m) be the maximal dimension of a linear subspace V of L( C n, C m) such that every nonzero map in V has rank k. In this paper, we develop some techniques for estimating ℓ from above.
