Abstract

The problem of the diffraction of a planar acoustic wave by an inclined half-plane in a stratified liquid is solved. The law governing the reflection of a plane wave from a rigid inclined half-plane is established and the solution of the scattering problem is given by the Wiener-Hopf method. The field in the far zone is calculated by the method of steepest descent, and the problem of the diffraction of an acoustic Kelvin wave by an inclined half-plane is discussed.
