Abstract

The determination of the Weinberg angle from the ratio of the neutral current and charged current neutrino cross sections is an important precision test of the standard model. The main uncertainty in this determination comes from the charm excitation contribution to the charged current cross section. We address this issue accounting for the nonuniversality effects in the strange and charmed sea distributions.
