Abstract

The interest in strong magnetic fields generation is growing rapidly because of various applications in different scientific fields. In this work, a new spiral magnet consisting of a spiral coil is designed and simulated, also showing its robustness despite the generation of very high magnetic field forces. The deformation of such spiral device on the transversal plane is caused by a slight unbalance of magnetic forces that gives rise to a non-zero net magnetic force. However, it is found that the estimated deformation occurs in a way that facilitates the current pulse to flow before the destruction of the system itself. Results of the spiral magnet deformation during the current pulse flow are provided.
