Abstract

An arbitration network with an unequal number of inputs and outputs (8 × 4) is described. The binary n-cube networks, (ESC) extra stage cube network, and various redundant networks like gamma network, are N × N networks and have an equal number of inputs and outputs. The network described is re-arrangeable and achieves all possible permutations. It is self-routing with a simple routing tag. The fault tolerance properties of the network are discussed. The interconnection networks are suitable for VLSI implementation.
