Abstract

Twelve patients with a history of thrombo‐embolic disease for more than 4 days were given a four‐fold titrated initial dose of streptokinase during 2 hours. The fibrinolytic response was investigated and the split products of fibrinogen and/or fibrin studied with immunological technique. The end products of fibrinogen or fibrin degradation (D and E) could be traced for 24 to 48 hours after the infusion of SK.
