Abstract

We study the effect of non-Ornstein-Zernike behavior of the density-density correlation function on the decay rate of the order-parameter fluctuations in the mode-mode theory of Kawasaki and the decoupled-mode theory of Ferrell. In particular the Fisher-Langer form for the density-density correlation function is used to study the modification of the decay rate in the non-hydrodynamic regime.
