Abstract

The authors present the results of a kinetic study concerning the crystallization of MnFe 2O 4, Fe 3O 4 and γ-Fe 2O 3 which are the final solid products of the thermal decomposition of the binuclear coordination compound [Fe 4Mn(CH 3COO) 6(OH) 8]·12H 2O. The experimental data, determined using methods concerning the kinetics of solid-solid reactions in mixtures of powders, are described by equations having anti-Jander and anti-Gintsling forms.
