Abstract

The human exposure issue and the impact over Different types of tissues in case of (short or even long term) exposure to radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic fields (EMF) should be definitely taken into consideration. The here presented paper proposed a study over the values of specific absorption rate (SAR) in case of human exposure to a far electromagnetic field source, considering various types of exposure situations. The SAR values for 10 g of tissue have been determined by simulations with CST Suite Studio software, using a 3D model of the human body proposed by the authors. The determined SAR values were also compared with those recommended by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation protection (ICNIRP) and IEEE Standards for Safety Levels (2005). Additionally, a convergence study has been done over the SAR values obtained by simulations for assumed scenarios.
