Abstract

A previously proposed model of catalysis as a resonance effect (ref.1) is used to derive an expression for the isocatalytic temperature, θ. This temperature is characteristic for systems showing a “compensation effect” between the pre-exponential factor and the energy of activation. The expression is tested on the catalytic oxidation of propene.
