Abstract
It is proved that the classical limits of the free-electron and harmonic-oscillator wavefunction describe a certain kind of ensemble, called “homogeneous ensemble”. Furthermore, a symmetric distribution function is used to prove that the classical limit of any stationary state wavefunction describes such an ensemble.
