Abstract

The charge-density-wave (CDW) transitions of 2H-TaSe 2 were investigated by high resolution angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy. A new possible CDW mechanism combining saddle point and nesting is proposed that provides a link between CDW features observed in photoemission and CDW vectors obtained from X-ray diffraction.
