Abstract

The interaction between two dust-acoustic solitary waves (DASWs) in a three-dimensional magnetized dusty plasma has been investigated theoretically, using the extended Poincaré–Lighthill–Kuo method. The analytical phase shifts after the interaction of the two solitary waves are derived. The effects of two types of isothermal ions, oblique collision of DASWs, the number densities of ions species to the density of charged dust grains ratio, the effective temperature of ions to the electron temperature ratio, and the adiabatic ratio of specific heats on the phase shifts are discussed. The results show that these parameters have strong effects on the phase shifts and the trajectories of two DASWs after collision.
