Abstract

The channel capacity formula of MIMO-OFDM systems was presented, and the effects of the number of sub-carriers, delay spread, angular spread and the antenna spacing on the capacity were investigated. It is shown that raising the number of sub-carriers counteracts the channel capacity loss due to correlated fading. When large numbers of sub-carriers are used, the channel capacity closes to nearly double level where there is no OFDM in use.
