Abstract

AbstractAn approximate technique has been developed for solving elliptic boundary‐value problems. It is based on reducing finite‐element systems of equations to the boundary which divides the domain into subdomains. The system of equations obtained after reduction admits an approximate solution due to neglecting small coefficients of the boundary matrix constructed by means of an auxiliary coarse grid division over the boundary. The series of numerical examples for theory of elasticity problems presented in the paper demonstrates the method's applicability.
