Abstract

In this paper, we propose a preliminary methodology, combining numerical and symbolic procedures, in order to analyze bifurcations in planar switching systems. This analysis is based on a classification of bifurcations of planar switching systems presented in this paper. The proposed methodology allows the analysis of the parameters influence in the system behavior, as well as, helps the design of a control strategy. To clarify the application of the methodology an example is analyzed, namely, the predator-prey Leslie-Gower model with human interference.
