Abstract

This study on the behaviour of inclusions in rimming steel was carried out using direct measurements of soluble oxygen in molten steel with a solid electrolyte cell. It was found that the rate of disappearance of inclusions was accelerated by the addition of Al to the steel and by gas bubbling treatment.
