Abstract

This study interprets, summarizes, and applies to the financial planning and forecasting problem a completely general yet operational approach to the analysis of econometric models by control methods that has been developed by Gregory Chow. It is shown that his methodology is not only well suited for the study of the general financial planning and forecasting problem facing business firms but also suggests a sound approach to the assessment of alternative models.
