Abstract
A stable model reference adaptive approach is used to develop an algorithm for identifying the parameters of a multicompartmental model which portrays the progression of cells through the different phases of the cell cycle. The identification procedure is tailored to utilize a popular form of data that can be easily collected from cytokinetic experimentation viz., multiple DNA distribution curves via microfluorometry studies. Details of some necessary modifications of the procedure to overcome certain practical limitations of data collection are described.
