Abstract
The binding energies BSigma of Sigma hyperons in hypernuclei produced in (K-, pi +or-) reactions on 12C are analysed, with the result that B( Sigma +)>B( Sigma 0)>B( Sigma -). If confirmed by further measurements, the result suggests that charge independence of the Sigma N interaction is broken.
