Abstract

ABSTRACTThe paper presents a method based upon the statistical linearisation technique of evaluating the locking range of a single loop optoelectronic oscillator for an angle modulated signal corrupted with Gaussian noise. Experimental results along with formulas for calculating the locking range along with the system equation are presented and they are in good agreement with the theoretical results. Some new findings regarding the dependence of locking range on the input carrier to noise ratio are reported.
