Abstract

The formulae and results of calculations of the nuclear level density based on the theory of superconductivity are presented. The obtained formulae do not contain any open parameters. They account for the shell and odd-even effects. The results of calculations are compared with experimental level densities and nuclear temperatures for Co and In nuclei. The agreement is satisfactory and better than in the case when the shifted Fermi gas model formulae are applied.
