Abstract
Let D be a division ring and w(<TEX>$x_1,\;x_2,\;{\ldots},\;x_m$</TEX>) be a generalized group monomial over <TEX>$D^*$</TEX>. In this paper, we investigate subnormal subgroups and maximal subgroups of <TEX>$D^*$</TEX> which satisfy the identity <TEX>$w(x_1,\;x_2,\;{\ldots},\;x_m)=1$</TEX>.
