Abstract
A variety of operation! on topological spaces oT systems are studied, which transform some generic properties of systems into fne others. The paper contains a rather extensive collection of rcsutts about preservation of generic properties under such operations as the image by a continuous, open onto map and the inverse image by an open nap, the set-theoretical inclusion and intersection, the Cartesian product, u well as the operation or producing families of systems. The results are illustrated with several examples taken from genericity analysis of linear, tune-in variant control systems. The mathematics involved in the paper comes from general and differential topology.
