Abstract

Possible mechanisms of exotic mesons production in exclusive and quasi-exclusive proton reactions with barion exchange are considered. Possibilities to look for charged C(1480) −-mesons in such processes, as well as in the coherent reaction π − + ( Z, A) → C(1480) − + ( Z, A) in the nucleus Coulomb field are discussed. It is shown, that the Coulomb production of C(1480) −-meson will allow one to determine the value for the branching ratio BR[ C(1480) − → φπ −] essential for the exotic interpretation of this hadron.
