Abstract

When considering nonlinear properties, in particular, plastic properties of the material, it is necessary for static calculations to take into account the loading trajectories and the development of plastic strain zones. This article presents the application of the dynamic method to obtain solutions to static problems. For this, the stress state of a thick-walled elastoplastic shell under over-limit loads is considered. A method for solving such problems was developed, taking into account the dynamics of the development of plastic strains. The numerical results obtained are compared with the exact solutions and the suitability of the solution method is shown. This dynamic approach to solving problems allows solving not only the considered class of problems but also other static and quasi-static problems tracking the influence of nonlinear effects (plastic, structural failure, etc.) in the process of solving problems.
