Abstract

The singular integral equations for the direct and indirect boundary element methods for linear quasi-static poroelasticity are examined. The direct integral equations are derived based on the principle of reciprocity of work. Analogous to the simple and double layer methods in potential theories, two indirect methods, a stress discontinuity and a displacement discontinuity method, are obtained from the direct integral equations.KeywordsIntegral EquationBoundary Element MethodHydraulic FractureSingular Integral EquationSingular SolutionThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
