Abstract

Dr. deGroot‐Hedlin criticizes the use of TEM surveys for static shift correction with the following statement: Sternberg et al. (1988) recommend the use of a central transient electromagnetic (TEM) sounding at each site to determine an absolute measure of the static shift. However, collection of more data at each site may make the method prohibitively costly.
