Abstract
We considered an initially stressed micromechanically modeled piezomagnetic fiber-reinforced composite (PMFRC) half-space, composed of CoFe2O4 fiber–epoxy matrix combination, with an impedance boundary. An incident quasi-longitudinal (qP) wave at the impedance boundary generates reflected qP, reflected quasi-transverse (qSV), and reflected magneto-acoustic (MA) waves. The reflected waves’ propagation angles are derived and graphically analyzed. Thereafter, employing relevant magneto-mechanical boundary conditions and using Cramer’s rule, the closed-form amplitude ratio expressions of all reflected waves are derived. All energy ratios are derived, and the law of energy conservation is satisfied. The impacts of incident angle, fiber volume fraction, initial stresses, and impedance boundary on energy ratios are analyzed.
