Abstract

The computation of a state-space realization of a linear dynamical system. starting from a polynomial matrix description of it, is addressed. Simple procedures are given for obtaining its dynamic matrix (possibly in some canonical or block-companion form) through unimodular transformations, starting from a square diagonal polynomial matrix, obtained as an intermediate step of the overall realization algorithm. >
